Loving Audrey Wood

Don't you love it when you realize that many books you have enjoyed have a common author? You just sit back and say no wonder all these books are awesome. That is what happened with me and Audrey Wood. I found two books I liked by her so I decided to take a look at her shelf in the library and there before me were many wonderful familiar stories. Silly Sally, Alphabet Mystery, The Big Hungry Bear and countless others. It was like discovering a treasure! I decided to bring home The Deep Blue Sea: A Book of Colors and now it is my absolute fave book by Audrey Wood. Yeshua can almost read the whole thing! At least enough to really feel like he read a book! It was so cute in the car yesterday while he read every page. At the end of the book he laughed and said, "Mom, the nut fell off the tree!" I could hear his excitement! It warmed my heart cause even though I have read the book to him I heard him voice his own personal discovery of the conclusion in a way only a reader can comprehend at the end of a good book.
