blah!

I totally do not feel like studying! I only feel like being with my family, cleaning my house, doing nothing and not studying.

But I know I need to pull through the next 5 days to get the grades I want. I am not in danger of failing but its a close B in foundations. A definite B in assessment with a very possible A (that will take effort). And promotions up in the air. And a more than likely B in promotions (some grades still pending).

Yet my family needs me. My house is in disarray. My kids are moody, bored and missing their mom. Mr. Potts is in need of a break, big time.

blech! Makes me want to risk a C in foundations. I need a 72 on the final. I can settle for a B in assessment. And I really think promotions will be a B.

But I do not want to risk regretting it later. I want my GPA over a 3.0. If I get a C an A would help balance it out.

SIGHHHHH!

I would like to say a night of rest will help but it hasn't.
I think I just need to suck it up and do my school work. Its only 5 more days and then I am free to be with the kids the rest of the summer.

Honestly, I do not even want to send then the last 3 weeks of school. But they love school for the most part.

I may just keep them home a few times on separate occasions for some one on one time.

December Daily (day 10)

I am good at getting behind on my bloggity commitments. This time I have a valid excuse. My whole crew has been stricken with illness. I suspect we picked up a bug while Christmas shopping.

Yeshua was feverish and under the weather for most of last week. On Wednesday he got dressed early and woke me up by announcing, "I am ready for school and I would like some medicine before we leave." We let him go even though he looked a little hazy. On Thursday I had a conference with his teacher and she mentioned he looked under the weather as well. My poor papa. Even though he was sick he kept trying to be a trooper. I kept him home Friday so he could rest up for the secret gingerbread hunt Monday.

By the end of the week all my kiddos and myself were sick. I only get a tad of illness so my worst day was Friday. Molly slept all day Saturday. And Gideon has been sleeping most of today.
He will go to the doctor tomorrow if he is feverish tonight.
But I think he will get better soon everyone else is bouncing back.

Impromptu Photo Walk

Today Molly picked out the sweetest outfit so I grabbed my camera as we walked out the door.

When we arrived at the school yard I remembered that Kindergarten was having a visit with firefighters. As we approached Yeshua's class was about to have their visit. I was so happy I had a chance to take pictures. I dropped Molly off with her classmates. I took a picture of this Halloween drawing on Gideon's classroom window.

Today....

I am so overwhelmed by my studies.

I am having doubts creep in.

I want to cry.

I am having information overload.

Everyday I say I will catch up but then my brain cannot process more information and I have to put the work off again.

I need a new approach.

I think I am going to give myself Thursdays off of studying.

And then give two days a week to my three hardest classes.

I can leave my two easiest classes for work hours.

I think this will help me break my harder courses into increments throughout the day so I can process more information.

I hope.......

But on to more important moments.

I did not see my kids all day today.

Only for very short periods of time.

On the car ride home today.....

Yeshua said he went to the science lab and lerned you cannot lick the equipment cause its disgusting.

He also said lunch was good except for the chicken that was worse then the chicken we serve at home.

He does not like chicken much.

He said if he has one more good day at school he will get a bulldog buck.

Molly said she played outside and people were picking up sticks.

She also said she was the line leader and she got to see the nurse.

She bumped her head this morning on the couch and got rug burn over her eye.

Went she went to school the swelling got worse so she went to the nurse for A&D ointment and an icepack.

Gideon said he went to the computer lab and learned to turn the computer on and off.

He has a good day and has made friends with a boy named Axel.

He wants to have a play date with him so bad.

I need to give him a copy of his phone number so Axel's mom can call me.

Gideon is about to lose his first tooth.

He is so cute he does not want it to go so he will not wiggle it much.

He says he wants to be five forever.

I understand.

I love my family!

First day of the fall semester........

All the kiddos are in their classes!
We woke up bright and early.
Mr. Potts supervised the getting dressed aspect while I made pancakes, yogurt and strawberries.
We took our first walk to school lugging a few pounds of school supplies.
It was a bit hectic but I learned how the first day goes from last year so we kept our cool.
Yeshua's class lined up first and I saw apprehension on his face.
I took him aside and asked if he needed to tell me something and he said
"I am scared. there is gonna be alot of people."
I reminded him that Ms. Prince had prepared him well as a student and that everyone was new and feeling nervous.
He lined up and looked a little worried.
I high-fived him as he walked by......
Next we escorted Gideon to his class and he seemed to feel comfy right away.
He was able to draw on a table so he settled in...he loves to draw......
He did not look worried at all and I hope his entire day goes that well....

Ms. Molly is celebrating her first official day as a student... and boy was she excited.....
She did look a little nervous but mostly excited.
She sat with her classmates quickly and was happy her teacher gave her a name tag so everyone would know her name.
Many students in her class were crying and that seemed to have her a bit concerned.
I just hope the vibes were not contagious.
I cant wait to pick them up but for now I am enjoying the peace.
